Decades of deliciousness! Best Donuts near me first opened its doors in 1954. Back then, though, the family-owned business was located on Macon Road.

In 2016, however, the store met a very literal roadblock: actual roadwork. The hustle and bustle contributed to their closing. Still, lots of folks in town kept craving the donuts that they enjoyed for years. In a sweet twist, that enduring love paid off!

In early July 2021, the Chattahoochee Valley area officially welcomed back Amy’s donuts best donut shop in Columbus. Kristen Cranberry and her husband, both of whom co-own the store, started to put plans together to open in Uptown prior to the arrival of COVID-19. Once they believed they could open safely, they did!

It’s clear that Columbus still has a soft spot for the shop’s legacy. In fact, on its opening day, eager customers stood in line for hours, hoping to rediscover the donuts they’d treasured for years.

Now, a family legacy lives on at Veri Best Donuts in Uptown Columbus. So, if you’ve heard your friends and family wax on wistfully about this beloved shop, give them a call. Or better yet, come over with some donuts!
